Friendship and Wellbeing Month
October 2018
This month we asked the question:
Have you filled your bucket today?
We continued to build on this theme from our Friendship and Wellbeing Month in 2017.
We were encouraged to revisit the idea of having invisible buckets and filling each other's buckets with compliments and random acts of kindness.
Our song for the month was "A Friend Like You" by Andy Grammer.

Friendship and Wellbeing Month
October 2017
This month we are asking the question
"Have you filled a bucket today?".
We are working on the idea that we all have invisible buckets which hold all the good feelings about ourselves. When we fill someone else's bucket, we fill ours too. We can be bucket fillers or bucket dippers so we are encouraging everyone to become more aware of the invisible buckets and how we can fill them up through random acts of kindness.
Our song of for the month is "Lean on Me" by Bill Withers.

Our Friendship and Wellbeing Assembly took place on the 26th of October. Look at all of the fun things we have been doing during Friendship month.

For our Well Being Assembly, each class performed in front of the whole school. We heard some fantastic poems and listened to some super songs too. Each class also displayed some amazing art work around the hall for everyone to see. We watched a wonderful slideshow of everything that has been going on in each classroom over the month of November. The children finished off the assembly by performing their version of the 'Fight Song'.
Look at the lovely art that each class produced for
Well-being month.

Our first HPS meeting.

In September 2015 Farnham N.S. set up our Health Promoting School Committee. Each class selected two people to represent them on the committee, and are joined by five members of staff and two parents. We first began working on our Health Promoting School in March 2015 when we sent out questionnaires to parents, staff and pupils to gather up some important information which highlighted some areas to focus on in the upcoming school year. The area we are focusing on in 2015/16 is Well-being.
