There has been great excitement in Farnham NS with the opening of the new playground. Break times have never been as much fun!
Last year as part of the work on the water flag, the students were invited to take part in a competition to design a logo for reusable water bottles that would be provided for each pupil in the school by Cavan County Council. The winning Logo was designed by Amy Donnelly.
On Tuesday 9th of October, Cllr. Madeline Argue and the Cavan County Council visited Farnham National School and presented the reusable water bottles to pupils in the school. We hope the reusable water bottles will reduce the use of single plastic water bottles in our school. Congratulations to all our pupils who took party in the Schools Cross Country Event on Wednesday 17th of October. They arrived back to school the proud owners of the Overall Schools Trophy. We are very proud of their success. Well done everyone!
Farnham Boys GAA team played against St. Mary's Virginia on Wednesday October 3rd. Everyone was exceptional and played with great team spirit. The game ended 7 goals and 7 points (Farnham) to 1 point (Virginia). Well done boys!
We will be playing against Mullagh next Wednesday October 10th. |
