Farnham National School held a ceremony to celebrate raising their Energy Flag on Oct 23rd. Representatives from the Parents Association, the Board of Management and Cavan County Council came to help us celebrate. We also had some invited guests in attendance – Master Donohoe and his wife Geraldine, Eddie Sexton, Anthony Cliail and the Soul Boyz. 
Miss Corr began the ceremony by showing an imovie which was made by students in 6th Class. The movie summarised all of the great work completed in school in order to get our Energy Flag. Miss Corr then presented all of the Green Schools Committee with a certificate and thanked them for their hard work. Eddie Sexton and Anthony Clail were presented with a small gift as a token of appreciation from the Committee. 
The entire school and invited guests then proceeded outside to raise our Energy Flag. There was great cheers and excitement as the flag was hoisted into the air by the Soulboyz. 
To finish our ceremony we were treated to an energetic hip hop dance performance by the Soulboyz. We all learnt some new dance moves and were in awe of the boyz ability to back flip in the air. A wonderful day was had by all and we are all now looking forward to beginning work on our Water Flag in the coming year.
