Review of the Visiting Teacher Service for Children with Hearing and Visual Impairment
The Minister of Education and Skills has recently approved a review of the Visiting Teachers Service for Children with Hearing and Visual Impairment (VTHVI) in Ireland. The VTHVI Service provides support for the education of children who are deaf or hard of hearing, and children who are blind or who have significant visual impairment.
The terms of reference can be found on the Department's website click here
The review is using questionnaires to find out views about the work of the Service from:
§ parents/carers of children who currently receive support from the VTHVI Service;
§ children who currently receiving support from the VTHVI Service;
§ interested parties.
Please remember that the deadline for receipt of completed questionnaires is 20 January 2014

NPC would like to find out from its members how the Minister's decision to allocate funding for book rental schemes to the 20% of primary schools who don't already have a scheme in place is impacting on them personally.
If you have more than one child in primary education please complete a separate survey for each child.
